TRIMARAN CABON 40

This superb Philippe Cabon design is a modern trimaran with powerful floats (Nigel irens design-C.Capelle construction). Its wide beam (10m) and sturdy construction (strip planking for the central hull and foam-glass polyester sandwich for the floats and arms) mean it can take on the open seas safely, even in severe conditions. The interior living space is ideal for high-speed cruising. Unit in very good technical and structural condition, in need of cosmetic finishing and minor interior restyling.

FITTINGS:
Under the companionway hatch, 2 single bunks, below 2 bench seats and a removable saloon table, further forward, the chart table to starboard and the galley to port. After the sponge bulkhead, on the right is the electrical/battery compartment and on the left the watermaker. There's a toilet and shower area without hot water (possibility of installing a hot water tank on the engine). Further forward, a double berth.

MANUFACTURING
The central hull is made of strip planking, while the floats (Charlie Capelle) and arms are made of sturdy polyester composite. Although many parts of the boat were built by professionals, the 1st owner chose to declare the boat as an individual construction. The boat is described by the current owners (all very experienced) as very robust, fast and seaworthy.
The boat can be seen at anchor near Quimper. The boat's structure and main equipment are impeccable and tried and tested, but the general cosmetics of the boat have not been finished. A trimaran of this quality deserves a complete paint job.
