WADVOGEL 33, Catamaran 1979, 9,9m. Shallow ply/epoxy open bridgedeck cruiser.

Description

The "Wadvogel" is a further development of the Wadkat with which architect JanBart de Jong wanted to show that an improved version of the Wharram catamarans of the sixties would sail closer to the wind, so that they could beat away from a lee-shore. The "Artos" is built by the designer for his own use and she is well kept by the present owner, who is gradually looking for a little more comfort. Partly through the headroom of over 1,9m, rare for an open bridgedeck-cat, the Wadvogel 33 is an ideal catamaran for wandering along the "Waddencoast" from Holland to Denmark, but equally at ease while crossing the Northsea to the UK or Skandinavia. The yacht spends her winters in dry storage and is freshly painted in the spring of 2018.
